The Pultneyville Historical Society is one of fifteen historical societies in Wayne County. PHS is dedicated to bringing history and people together for the discovery, exploration, and preservation of the rich history unique to this area.
The Pultneyville Historical Society (PHS), a not-for-profit organization, was founded in 1964. It was chartered in 1971 by the New York State Board of Regents to acquire, preserve and present the history of the Township of Williamson. Purchased in 1996, the Society's c.1858 landmark home was the former Auchampaugh residence. With a harbor view, it is located at 4130 Mill Street in Pultneyville, New York.
Along the Seaway Trail, Pultneyville is a hamlet located in the Town of Williamson which is situated on the southern shore of Lake Ontario in Wayne County. The home provides meeting and office space for PHS, houses the society's extensive archival and artifacts collection, space for permanent and traveling exhibits and a gift shop.  It is open to the public on weekends throughout the summer months and by special appointment.                                                     Read More >>
